Research Progress - Information for Public authorities

Transport represents 32% of the energetic consumption in Europe.
Therefore, public authorities have to be sensitive to these issues and do their best for improving the green technologies integration in their jurisdiction.
The induction charging solution is one of the most fashionable solutions to promote EVs. The public authorities need to pay attention to the new EVs charging solutions and foster the use of EVs within the local populations.

Many participants at international, national or local scales have given a serious go in respecting the objectives set:
-Reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 20% compared to 1990 levels by 2020.
- Increasing the share of renewable energies in final energy consumption to 20%.
- Increasing by 20% the energy efficiency.
In fact, considering urban transport, the European Union has set the overall goals of reducing the number of urban vehicles functioning with conventional petrol by 50% before 2030, and excluding totally such vehicles from cities by 2050.

The project

FastInCharge partners have gathered to jointly tackle this sensitive and major issue.
Different technical aspects are explained in the scientists’ area and the implementation of  the system is described in the citizen area.
